Caramel Chocolate Poke Cake

Ok so it’s no secret I like to bake, cook and just make stuff. This is one I saw on Facebook and I immediately wanted to make it.

Here is the video link for Cook Crave Inspire by Spending with Pennies

Of course I make my own little changes….

Here is what I used:

1 box of Chocolate cake mix ( made just like the box says to)

1 jar or bottle of caramel

1 can of condensed milk

1 8oz tub of cool whip

1/2 cup of walnuts

A few chocolate chunk pieces

Tools Needed

13 x 8 inch cake pan

Spatula for spreading

Fork or whisk

Make the cake according to directions, let cool for at least 10 minutes.

Poke holes all over the cake.

Pour the caramel all over the cake and spread evenly.

Open the can of condensed milk and pour all over cake

Cover and put in the fridge for 4 hrs or overnight.

Remove cover and add cool whip covering like icing, add chocolate and walnuts for garnish. You can serve immediately or wait a few more hours for everything to set.

It is so tasty not overly sweet. I think the walnuts gave it a nice crunch and took away some of sweetness for me …. It is like a chocolate 3 leches cake. Really really good !
